Finnish Aircraft WW2...

...from Lifecolor, in stock with The Airbrush Company, the UK importers
Lifecolor_FinnishAFcolours (1).JPG

The latest set of colours to come from Lifecolor is now here and in stock with the Airbrush Company. The initial news of this set showed that the sixth colour was to be Orange, whereas it now has a second shade of the undersurface Light Blue.

A good looking set of paints, and perfectly timed as I have just got hold of the 1/72 Brewster Buffalo from Hobby 2000. An olive green and black camouflage, pale grey undersides and bright yellow cowling and rear fuselage band. Next step will be to build the kit and try the paints.

Update: I have now had the chance to build the Hobby 2000 kit, which went together very nicely and without any problems. It has also been brush painted using the new paint colours in this set. Olive Green and Black for the upper surface camouflage and the light grey for the undersides. The yellow was used for the cowling, fuselage band and the underneath of both main wingtips. Two coats of paint, except for the black which only needed one. Transfers are on so just some emphasis to add with a panel line wash now. I'm very please with the colours though.

Water soluble acrylic colours for modelling and hobby. LifeColor is excellent for paint brushing or airbrushing on plastic, resin, metal, vinyl, wood, cloth and ceramic.

Using LifeColor:
1.Clean surfaces to be painted
2.For airbrushing, dilute the colour to a milky consistency using water or LifeColor Thinner.
3.Airbrush at very low pressures. (Iwata airbrushes give the best performance and atomisation at low pressures.)
4.Apply colour in thin coats with a brush or airbrush
5.Allow to dry completely between coats
6.Clean your airbrush with airbrush cleaner and flush through with water
